3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

MauiWine’s Third Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at Ulupalakua
Saturday, Dec. 10
4:30 – 8:30 p.m.

On December 10, families and friends are invited to celebrate the holidays at the Third Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on the estate of MauiWine in Ulupalakua. The cool, crisp and frosty air paired with the lush vegetation, farm animals and giant towering trees more than 100-years-old make Ulupalakua the perfect place to get bundled-up, be merry and enjoy the holiday season with loved ones.

Admission is free but attendees are requested to bring a can of non-perishable food as a donation to the Maui Food Bank.

The holiday festivities is guaranteed to be a memorable experience with plenty of complimentary activities to enjoy including:
• Lighting of a 20-foot Monterey pine holiday-decorated tree from Kula Botanical Gardens
• Live music entertainment by the Haiku Hillbilly’s.
• Screening of “Home Alone” movie under the stars.
• Family and keiki photos in front of holiday tree with Santa Claus
• Holiday games
• Sparkling toasts and wine tastings inside the King’s Cottage

MauiWine will also offer “Tank Tastings,” an exclusive experience to savor MauiWine’s estate wines directly from the tanks and learn about the wine making process. Tank Tastings will be held inside the Old Jail – built in the 1850s that recently re-opened in February after a yearlong historical restoration.

Warm beverages and holiday comfort food by Ulupalakua Ranch Store & Grill will be available for purchase.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with lighting of the holiday tree after sunset followed by the movie under the stars. The movie will be showcased on MauiWine’s outdoor pavilion; visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and low-back lawn chairs.

MauiWine is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. offering complimentary tastings of its pineapple and traditional methode sparkling wines inside the King’s Cottage, a former retreat built for King David Kalakaua. Complimentary historical tours of the estate and the cellar are at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

The winery is located at 14815 Piilani Highway in Kula on Ulupalakua Ranch. For further information about the Third Annual Holiday Tree Lighting event or to schedule private tasting, visit www.mauiwine.com or call 808-878-6058.
