Step a little deeper into the MauiWine property, and you’ll discover something quite unique. The historic “Old Jail” once served as captain James Makee’s private office, but today, the stout stone building is where we offer an inside look at grape growing and winemaking on Maui. Here, grape-growing is full of interesting challenges, beautiful distinctions, and fascinating results.
In this intimate but casual setting, our guests experience four select wines, along with small taste pairings that enhance the palate. The wines offered in the Old Jail frequently change, and each unique lineup can include unreleased wines, library releases, special bottlings, and even wine club exclusive bottlings that are not available in the King’s Cottage Tasting Room.
Reservations required. Limited Seating.
*Anyone under the age of 21 is not allowed into the Old Jail building, including infants and young children. All persons in the jail must have a purchased ticket. The Old Jail building is not wheelchair accessible.
