Pineapple Sparkling Wine

Maui Gold pineapples are the best in the world, and we select only the best of the best to make the Hula o Maui. Pineapple is the “King of Fruits,” and Maui Gold pineapples . . . well they are the King of all the pineapples! Literally then, the best of the best goes into the Hula O Maui. We look for almost under ripe fruit to accentuate the fresh pineapple aromatics that are represented in the wine. The still pineapple wine is tirage bottled, causing a secondary fermentation in each bottle. The wine is aged on the lees for 6 to 8 months to develop mouthfeel and texture but not long enough to lose its fresh fruit-forward nature.

Pineapple Sparkling Wine

Quite possibly the most exciting and fascinating sparkling wine you’ll ever come across, the Hula o Maui is made from 100% Maui Gold pineapples, and on top of that, we produce it in the Traditional Methode Champenoise. Beginning as just a trivial challenge, 100 cases were produced for the 20th anniversary of the winery. We sold out of them in a month, and we’ve been trying to keep up with the demand ever since. It is an amazing and perfectly accurate representation of what Hawaii is - pineapple and bubbly. It just makes perfect sense.

I’m a one of a kind. Drink me now, or wait a bit and save me for a special occasion within the next few years. I am Maui in a bottle, a combination of pineapple and bubbles, and I just make sense. When they talk about how sweet I am, they call me a Brut. I’m a morning wine. If you put me in a flute with some orange juice, I can be really nice. I can handle lots of foods because of how crisp I am, but I really like spicy food and lighter fare.
