Rose Ranch Wine

Very similar to most traditional sparkling wines from around the world, our Lokelani is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Sparkling base (still wine) is tirage bottled with an exacting amount of yeast and sugar added to create an additional fermentation within each bottle. The wine is then aged on the lees (dead yeast cells) between 20 to 24 months to achieve our stylistic philosophy for the wine. We use our estate Grenache in the dosage which gives the wine its subtle pink color.

As the official flower of Maui, Lokelani has adorned the Ulupalakua landscape for centuries, charming us with its vibrant pink petals and captivating fragrance. The original name of the ranch where we are located was Rose Ranch, and the estate that makes up our grounds was covered in roses including the unique and rare Lokelani. We love sparkling wine; we make it in the most time-consuming and hands-on way because it’s the right way, and it fits what Maui is all about . . . Sparkling wine is the inseparable companion of joy and festivity, the crown of celebration, and the symbol of merriment. Every day in Maui is worth celebrating.

Drink me now or keep me in a good environment for up to 5 years. I’m slightly pink, and pretty much everyone adores me. I’m the perfect balance of pretty, sweet, and tart, and I quite literally jive with every cuisine and gathering. I like to be a part of special occasions, but I also like Wednesdays through Tuesdays.
