Join us at MauiWine! Step onto the King’s Cottage lanai to sip wine and immerse yourself in this historic estate. Built during the 1870s to accommodate King Kalākaua, the King's Cottage now serves as our tasting room and the heart of MauiWine. Guests are seated at tables and will be served by our hospitality team. Space can be limited at times in our cozy King’s Cottage, but we do offer reservations, which are encouraged, and we welcome walk-in guests. We will always do our best to accommodate all who visit our historic grounds and tasting room.

If you know you’ll be joining us, please don't hesitate to plan ahead; reservations can be booked up to 90 days in advance. If you’re in the area or on a scenic drive, like the road to Hana, please stop in! We would love to host you, with or without a reservation. You can shop our tasting room retail boutique without a reservation or being seated as a walk-in.

Offerings

We offer tasting flights, wines by the glass, wine cocktails, and light fare that can be ordered as desired from our menu. We feature wines under the Ulupalakua Vineyards label, cultivated in our vineyard, just 1 mile down the road. We also specialize in traditional-method sparkling wines and wines made from 100% Maui Gold pineapples.

Under 21

Our experience and offerings are not designed for those under 21 years of age. All minors must remain seated and be attended by a person of legal age. Children should be included in your reservation party size. We want to make sure those cute keiki have a place to sit too!

Food

We offer a selection of light bites to pair with your wine tasting experience, we do not offer full meal service.

Tours

We do not offer guided tours of the estate or production area at this time. Reserved guests of the tasting room are welcome to walk the historical estate with a self-guided map of the property.

Transportation

While you may be able to find an Uber or Lyft to bring you to MauiWine, you will likely not find one to pick you up due to our remote location. Please plan accordingly and arrange your return trip in advance.

Drive

The route to MauiWine will take you up Haleakala mountain, through Kula, to Ulupalakua. The route is scenic and can take longer than expected, please plan for extra travel time - it's worth it! VIEW ON GOOGLE MAPS

Weather

Much of our seating is covered, but outdoors/open-air, and the temperature can be cooler in Ulupalakua than at beachside areas. Throwing a light sweater or jacket in the car for the journey can be a good idea.

Large Groups

Our tasting room lanai can host parties of up to 6 people, any multiple reservation bookings cannot be combined and will be sat separately. Give us a call to see how we can accommodate you!
